I was quite chuffed today!! I live about 4 miles from Great Yarmouth and while driving around Great Yarmouth I spotted someone on a silver Taishan Commuter. No doubt he was an eBay addict too. I really wanted to wave and shout "I've got one of those and I've just started an owners club if ya fancy joining" but no doubt I'd have looked a right idiot. So if you were that person riding a silver Taishan Commuter near the old arts college.... HELLO!!!!!!!!!! Have any of you lot ever spotted someone who has the same scooter as you?

Never seen another one yet (only pics hehe) They're alleged to have sold thousands of Taishans yet I've only seen one. I've no idea how many Baotians or other makes have been sold but no doubt soon we'll see one. ;D

I saw someone today on a scooter exactly the same as my baotian (excpt it was light blue) going through my village, it wasnt half flying aswell, i think the rider must have been about six stone lighter than me to be going at that speed...

It would be interesting to see a race against two identical Chinese scooters and see if the weight of the rider makes a difference or not. ;D Next time I spot that geezer with a Taishan Commuter in Great Yarmouth I'm going to ask if he'd mind taking part in a little experiment.

Yeah and I weigh 6 stone. ;D I saw a retro looking scooter today, as I approached it I wondered if it was a Baotian - turned out is was a Vespa. I bet the owner would've been pleased with me. johnnyr: Have you got any pics of your bike for The Showroom section?!

Speaking of the North of Scotland, I saw an unregistered Taishan and an unregistered Baotian for sale in the Scot-Ads for £700 each, I'd go for a look but it was at John O'Groats!

£700 each?!?! You can get one for about £400 on eBay, fair enough you have to pay about £100 for delivery but that's still £200 less.

Maybe someone is trying to make some money, I'm sure some people have never heard of Ebay?!

Maybe someone is trying to make some money, I'm sure some people have never heard of Ebay?! When the time comes for me to sell my Taishan I definitely won't be selling it on eBay because you can pick them up so cheaply brand new that nobody will pay more than £300 for a second-hand one but if you try selling it in your local paper you've got a better chance of getting most of your money back to some sucker person who doesn't browse eBay.

Hey ginger, that Union Jack painted Retro on ebay will suit you> I'll have to have a look at that. I must admit I am being strangely drawn towards the retro side of things but with a child due in around 8 weeks I've got to save my money plus I'm more than happy with my Taishan.
