What a strange attitude!! you have described a scooter driving at a legal speed, on the left hand lane, which, excuse my obvious point, is perfectly allowed, and perfectly safe and in accordance with the highway code. Than you say the Kia pulled out to overtake, without indicating, which is not safe, not allowed and not in accordance with the highway code. Summarising from your comments, the Kia driver failed to look out of the window at the front of his vehicle. Then you say that you were driving in an overtaking lane, cruising at 70mph, yu don't say that you were overtaking. Being their is not allowed and not particularly safe. Lets give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe you were overtaking the Kia, and not one of these Tossers who hog right hand lanes, Well, according to the Highway code, you should have been aware of the Kia and it's potential to move and realise that YOU are the one performing a dangerous manouver. So summerising from that, the kia is probably most to blame, you are partly to blame and the only one who was in the right was..... The scooter driver. Well, on the CBT they did refer to car drivers as pond life Oh, and if you were wondering - I wasn't in Derby, and if there are drivers tlike that around, I don't think I'd want to. Calm down chap, i were just funny how we nearly hit the car because he were over taking a bike that i have never seen before. And yes, we were overtaking a few cars that had backed up behind the bike, and the kia randomly pullled into our lane, for at the time, looked like for no apparnt reason, and then thats when i spotted the bike. And yes it were the kia fault for not making any signal just manvouer, she pulled out just meters in front of us. Sorry if i didnt make my self 100% clear, but it were just a quick summary.

A lot of people quit riding when it gets cold out. I would suspect that!
