There are probably about 10 other chinese scoots on campus here. They all have different names, but it's obvious that they are some version of chinese descent! It's mostly honda spree and yamaha razz country here, they are both very slow scoots!

Some woman had a Chinese scoot and she was driving behind me up this long hill  It felt good when i saw myself accelerating away from her ;D |

I saw another Baotian on the way home today. Was'nt chcknugget this time! I waved at the rider but he just looked at me a couple of times & turned off onto a side street. Unfriendly sort #stickpoke# |

i spotted one the week after mine broke down and it was identical to mine just a bit newer and with a 10th of the mileage, the following day i saw it again in a different place i thought i had a stalker

Hey all
Here in Marlboro Mass there are only 3 scooters in town and two of them I own . This is a big biker town lots of harleys . so occasionally when I see another scoooter i almost fall off, but actually scooters are slowly becoming evident here in the states

I have seen more scooters around my part of town in the last 2 months than ever before. And there were NOT many around here before. Mostly Honda Sprees.

I saw one god damn it ! lol...going down the a52 in derby at about 40 mph (70 limit) and it nearly cause a crash! It were going along in the left lan right next to the kerb and the kia people carrier (massive thing) pull out to over take it and didnt indicate just went round it (half in his lane half in ours and we nearly hit the kia doing 70!
It were one of them 110cc ones like a everyones fav site...ebay!

What a strange attitude!! you have described a scooter driving at a legal speed, on the left hand lane, which, excuse my obvious point, is perfectly allowed, and perfectly safe and in accordance with the highway code.
Than you say the Kia pulled out to overtake, without indicating, which is not safe, not allowed and not in accordance with the highway code.
Summarising from your comments, the Kia driver failed to look out of the window at the front of his vehicle.
Then you say that you were driving in an overtaking lane, cruising at 70mph, yu don't say that you were overtaking. Being their is not allowed and not particularly safe.
Lets give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe you were overtaking the Kia, and not one of these Tossers who hog right hand lanes, Well, according to the Highway code, you should have been aware of the Kia and it's potential to move and realise that YOU are the one performing a dangerous manouver.
So summerising from that, the kia is probably most to blame, you are partly to blame and the only one who was in the right was.....
The scooter driver.
Well, on the CBT they did refer to car drivers as pond life
Oh, and if you were wondering - I wasn't in Derby, and if there are drivers tlike that around, I don't think I'd want to.
