Not being funny, but do you realise you have to pull in the brake, or foot brake to start it? May sound stupid, but I still somrtimes forget.

check the side stand is up very common people forget this
they can be a bugger to start first time
unscrew the carb lid (look on the deristriction guide for how do do this how it will look etc)
put "1 bottle cap" full of petrol into the rubber cap it has a yellow center and a hole in the middle pour the petrol into the hole
then try and start again

won't help but,had my JL50QT-4 for 6months, your bt49qt-7 is very similar, there's no safety system on my side stand(not that I use it) which means I can start(electric) while side stand is down

With a flat battery bike would prob still start of the kick
could be a loose wire but first things first i'd try putting a cap full of petrol into the carb
when you try and start it open up the trottle to about 1/4
if it does not start after this then check the wires for a bad connection

have just looked at wiring towards back of bike, there is a pink wire not connected to anything, its virtually under the seat and is on its own, any idea what it is and where it goes, could this be the problem? ??
