Hello all, I just got my new drive face boss from scooterassassins and it's not 36mm, more like 38.6mm.
He put a little note in it saying that 38mm is the correct one- and that the site has the boss mistitled.
I'm a little dissappointed because I think this is the size of my stock boss. I wouldn't have bought it if it was labeled correctly.
Hypojam, was your boss really 36mm?

That freeflow filter is pretty much identical to my one. It makes loads of noise and gets blocked/covered in road filth because the rear wheel flicks the crap up onto Drive boss is no longer than 37, definitely not 38/39/40mm... Photo does look dodgy though

Has anyone tested a 36 mm drive face boss? The stock part seems to be around 38 mm. There has been some speculations about this on the swedish forum. One person grinded his to 36 mm, but because of the snow he has not tested it yet.

I will let you all know! I just ordered one I hope you get a real 36mm boss. I just emailed scooterassassins and said I'm not happy. What is the length of your stock boss? You might just end up with another stock one.

off subject......my "Koso" freeflow filter has a perspex cover that attaches with an Allen bolt to protect it from road(back wheel) spray, it's absolutely filthy at the moment, which proves it does exactly what it's there for.didn't anyone else get this? it did come all together in the same plastic bubble package from scooter assassins......definitly feels a wee bit better, but I haven't fitted my jet yet,1 of the screws was gonna chew up so I'll wait untill I've got a better driver or small pliers to do it.....James, you're measurements are miles out, yours looks like 37mm plus

so do you need to fit a larger jet for a freeflow airfilter to work?

there's a few posts that suggest you do, but mine's been fine, standard jet, freeflow filter, 4.7g rollerweights (standard were 8.5g on digital scales)........sorta fancy the sound of a big exhaust next...........

chcknugget "I wouldn't use a freeflow filter with the stock carb. It will probably hamper performance and sound too loud" top speed has remained the same at 50 (according to my speedo) sound level has definitly raised, but I'm enjoying 78db of jinlun www.zippyvideos.com/7247319323847596/freeflow_volume/
