If the horse box driver was on your side of the road, and coming in the opposite direction, it was probably his fault, and he would therefore be responsible for the accident. Getting witnesses to support this is a different matter though, but if any are available, and you can prove your account of things, he, or his insurance company, should pay for any damages incurred. Even if you only have third party insurance, you should still be covered, but it might cost more in later insurance premiums than it would to fix it yourself. Check the frame to make sure it is not damaged where the exhaust fits, as this can be a vulnerable point.

Dear oh dear. There's a Taishan Commuter exhaust going for £20 on eBay if that's any help?

If the van driver was on your side of the road the accident is 100% his fault. He should be paying for the damage. If there are no witnesses and he won't admit liability though, or if you didn't get his details, then the exhaust doesn't look too bad to me and I see no reason not to try bending it back into shape before you buy a new one. Do it gently and check that it doesn't split or crease. Heating the bit you're going to bend up a bit with a blow torch might help.

That tube goes round to the air filter so I'm guessing its just more emissions. I managed to fix the exhaust and it all sorted just need to replace the housing for the fan and ut good as new. I also added some more neons under the fairings while I was there.
