can anyone beat this, the wifes just paid 77 quid third party to insure both of us 40 plus,s on a jinlun 50, hope to put our daughter on next spring, but darent think about the cost Insurance is not required in Michigan, so $0. Here a moped rider is protected under "no fault" meaning that if I was in an accident with a car, it would go on their insurance. If my scooter was registered in New York it would be a different story... They require inspections, a motorcycle license, insurance, more frequent registration renewals, and higher registration fees. You guys sure pay a lot to drive these things! I registered my scooter and 2 mopeds in Michigan and get on cheaply. Only $15 each for three years registration!

I'm 33, a total newbie to the Scoot world, (although I do have 16yrs NCB on a car!). More importantly, I'm diabetic and have 3 points on my car license for an SP50 (doing 78mph!). For me and my missus (who's 31 with no bike history either but a full car driving licence as well), I got covered on my BT50QT-9 for £172 through www.motorcycledirect.... which I thought was VERY reasonable! (and the actual policy is with Axa and includes Breakdown). Considering my higher risk circumstances I've been refreshingly please with my Scoot insurance costs! Davros

I have just insured a brand new Baotian BT50QT-9 with a chassis number with Rampdale. I paid 225.00 third party fire and theft with my dad on the policy but it would be the same if he wasn't. Cheap insurance for Baotians put Rampdale insurance into google. They let you insure the bike on a chassis number for ten days. I am pretty impressed with that.
