Never one to be outdone by the great Ginger Phil, I took the plunge and ordered some vinyl wheel rim stickers from e-bay. Only £6 and the seller was extremely helpful (especially as I got the colour wrong initially and had to get a replacement). Seller ID in case anyone is interested is: awesomeappleby. Fitting them wasn't as bad as I expected, although a degree of patience is required, and I wouldn't recomend doing it on a windy day ! Anyway the results can be seen at my website: www.argolis59.freeserve.co.uk/simons-scooters.htmCome on Phil...what you got planned next

Those wheel rim stickers look good don't they? The only bit that looks naff on mine is where I've overlapped the edges but nobody's commented on them so it's probably only me that notices them.

I overlapped as well Phil, there really isn't another way of doing it. I thought it might look obvious as well, but unless you are actually looking for it you can hardly see the join point so I'm quite pleased with the overall result.

You can get a really good 'butt' joint on these stickers,
All you do is over lap them as you have done, then using a VERY sharp craft knife, cut through both strips at once, remove the off cuts (one will be under a strip) and you have a perfect joint, you don't even have to cut in a perfectly straight line!
This is a trick used by decorators when they are putting wall paper borders from the top to the bottom of stair cases. You don't have to work out the angles to cut the border paper!
