This is for a sixteen year old with zero NCD So far I have had the following quotes: Bennett - £375. MCE - £318. Lexhams - £416. Online Bike Quote - £472. All of these quotes are for TP only (no excess), garaged overnight and the bikes only costing £400 When I asked for TPFT quotes they all increased by around £100 - £150 and incurred excesses of around £350. What makes me laugh is when I did a quote for myself, it only came out at £110 TP and thats with 6 points on my licence, just shows what an old Bas***d I am ;D Any further suggestions ? Ian.

Those are crazy qoutes arn't they. Have you actually phoned these companies or just used their online forms? Sometimes you can get a much better price when you speak to them. When i was getting mine the best online quote i could get was over £150 TP Only. Over the phone i got a quote of £97 TP only from Lexham. Guess im an older Bas***d than you :-)

That's similar to what I did although I'm not with MCE. My insurance company phoned me up after I submitted an online quote and when they gave me their figure I knocked a massive £50 off just by saying I'd had a better quote from Bennets. ;D Cheeky but it works plus I'm fifty quid better off.

I forgot to say I'm going from TPFT to fully comp on the Blaster and I've got zero no claims discount but the price is still a surprise as I live in a good area. When they first told me the quote I said no thanks, I did a few online quotes and phoned Bennets but all the quotes came back roughly the same.

Bloody hell my xtz750 only costs £190 fully comp But don't forget that if the plastic panels get damaged on a Baotian, they can cost as much as 15p each to be replaced Last year, my fully comprehensive car insurance cost £96, after a bit of haggling with 'Egg', leaving them with a bit of meringue on their face.

Finally got it down to sub £195 with MCE just by lying and saying that Bennetts had quoted £180, when they had actually quoted £318. I was told to take the Bennetts quote by the MCE operator but I will leave it until tomorrow and then ring back and accept. I can only assume that you lucky people getting cheaper quotes must live in posher areas Brought myself a Kawasaki ER 500 this weekend and I am only having to pay £161 for TPFT with Legal & Breakdown cover through Carole Nash. Asked them to quote for the scooter at the same time and they came back with £555 TP Ian.

I tried 'Wickedquotes' and they quoted me £50 more than Bennetts. I think it is really down to each persons particular details, so it's still best to shop around.
I suppose I could have tried it on with them and told them I got a lower quote somehere else, but I just wanted to see what their first quote was compared to the others I've had.
