I was surprised at how fast I was able to get one. I tried 3 different auto parts store to find one that could ORDER it for me. I ordered it at 5:30pm last night. They said it would be in at 7:30am today. I was standing on thier doorstep when they opened this morning. True to thier word, there it was. $1.77 (US) & I was out the door. Where did you order yours from?

According to the handbook for my Baron Retro BR125T, the spark plug is either:
NGK C7HSA (I suppose the CR7HSA will do as well)
Or
Nippondenso (ND) U22FS-U
The plug gap should be 0.6-0.9mm

Well it is done. After installing the CR7HSA & starting the engine, I was pleasantly suprised to find that the engine ran smoother . Less surging & stalling. I have had a lot of trouble with surging & stalling all summer. (Since I replaced the factory plug with a C7HSA) Although it never occured to me that my plug could be the problem until reading this thread. All summer I have had to rev my scooter at traffic lights to avoid stalling. Surging was quite bad I would be sitting there at idle & suddenly the bottom dreopped out of the rpm & it stalled. I went out for a 9 mile ride after changing the plug. It was quite cool around 50 degrees(F). I was able to idle through 3 traffic lights with out a stall I am very happy with the CR7HSA. It is well worth paying a little extra for. I suggest that we recommend this plug to all newbies in the future.

Just removed the torch plug which was fitted from new and changed to the NGK CR7HSA it certainly makes the bike more responsive, although no increase in top speed.

Why does everyone recommend changing the plug?
My Boatian 125T2 has done nearly 2000km on the original plug and hasn't missed a beat. It gets used daily at speeds of up to 60mph.
Is it just a case of one or two people having had to replace their plugs, maybe because they haven't treated their scoot with appropriate tlc or is it recommended by manufacturers and distributors?

The reason for changing the plug is: the factory plugs are crap

To be honest I think I put more trust in the NGK plug than in the Torch branded one that was factory fitted, but I do keep the torch under the seat just in case.
