My Kinroad XT125T-6 is fitted with an A7TC spark plug which would appear to be of chinese origin, I was thinking of getting a spare just to keep handy, does anybody know what the equivalent NGK or Champion etc plug would be?

The little 50cc I had, used a C7HSA, I thought the 125cc might have been a different plug.

Quote from a sparkplug retailer:
IF YOU WANT THE C7HSA SPARK PLUG PLEASE LET US KNOW IN YOUR REMARKS. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO IS A RESISTOR. IF YOU DON'T NEED THE RESISTER IT DOESN'T MATTER, BUT IF YOU DO NEED THE RESISTOR YOU NEED TO GET THE CR7HSA SPARK PLUG.
Had a quick look just to see what the resistor does, here's the answer:
Today's spark plugs use resistors to eliminate radio frequency interference (RFI) which can affect on-board computer or ignition systems, AM and FM radio reception, and TV broadcasts. Each time the spark jumps across a gap, an electromagnetic field is created that can interfere with radio signals. By placing a resistor in the spark plug, we can substantially reduce RFI. Furthermore, the use of non-resistor plugs with today's complex computer systems can result in driveability problems, loss of performance and can even cause the computer to store trouble codes.
Many motorcycles produced now have computer controlled ignition and/or fuel injection systems. RFI can effect these components. Several motorcycle aftermarket ignition modules are sensitive to RFI. Most notable among these are some modules produced by DynaTech. Use of proper spark plugs and ignition wires will eliminate the problems observed.
I wonder if the non resistor plug would affect the CDI?.

For the cost of a plug its worth trying. You really need to change the Chinky plug ASAP anyway, as they can cause other problems, especially starting. I did try the telly interferance, but the mains lead was too short to get it to the garden gate, let alone on the scoot and up the road as well, plus I had no-where to stick the airiel, so we will never know will we?

Thought I would just double check the plug is the same as the one detailed in the scoot manual, Its not its an A7RC, so I had to email the company I'm purchasing the NJK's from today and ask if they could change them to CR7HSA and post them with the other order I made for my car plugs, as they were a bit dearer they would save on the postage to cover the extra cost of the replacement. I got a reply within an hour saying no probs. BTS could take a lesson from this company on customer service.
