I will be the uncoordinated bottle blonde rubbing her a r s e! The back of that bike is notoriously uncomfortable. If only he would take the X9 but it's a biker thing innit? Will there really be that many bikes there? Seriously? I hate crowds!

Yes last year there were 50000+ bikes and scooters. And 250000 people! I'll be the baldy scooterist dragging a grumpy 11 year old girl around!

According to someonethatprofessestoknowthesethings it won't be as busy this year because the Tuttles (spelling?) from American Chopper aren't there this year. We'll see. The scooterists usually hang around Chinnerys bar where they play mod and ska music. Might cu there Ha! That is about as likely as the sea not being wet. Apparently there is a shedload of live rock bands at the place "that used to be the waterfront" (The Concorde 2 I think) which is at the far east end of Marine Parade which is where the guys I'm travelling with are likely to head. Maybe I'll take time out to seek you out if I get chance. Shout me a diet redbull if you see me and you are near the bar.

I'll be bringing chocolate and snacks (for the Lambretta riders when they break down!) I'll throw in some red bull. If I was going to a rally I'd have beer and pies on board as well!

Well, I'm back and it was fun! The Baron performed well, keeping up with the 200cc bikes everywhere but on the open road, where it was gradually outpaced. It was better in the traffic, where its accelleration was more than enough to outpace other bikes and some cars from the lights. I'm expecting even more from it as it gradually shakes down. Its only done 900kms after all. Here's a few pics of the day. Meeting up early... Fag break and fuel stop half way there with the club Parking up on the seafront Arrival in Brighton As well as scooters and every kind of Harley (yawn!) there was some unusual machinery about The ride home, My mate Kev and his wife Tracey on their PX200Bajaj Final fuel stop before 27 bum numbing miles!

I went today and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. It really was. I took so many photos. Im gonna go every year now. There is also something going on in October too isnt there. Im going go to that as well. I want a Lambretta so badly. I was almost drooling over them today. And the weather was great. Glad I only live down the road. Brighton is quite amazing at times.

Of course, I won't know it's you....I don't know what you look like!
Owning a Lambretta is an act of dedication. They are all 40-50 years old now and they can be tempramental. Don't let me put you off though, they are eye-wateringly beautiful, I'll admit!

Gah!! Blonde moment yesterday. I didn't think you would be on your Baron I thought you were taking your sidecar outfit with you saying you were carrying loads of provisions. I went wandering and found one Vespa sidecar outfit and hung around for a while near it and around the Volks club which is where most of te scooter riders seemed to be. I had to get away from the crowds for a bit so spent some time on the beach having a solitary ice cream and coke binge but apart from that it was an amazing experience with so many bikes and scooters there. I saw the Diamonds play on the back of a lorry and Dollar-Cent play at the Concorde 2 club. Did you see the full rockabilly band busking? My bum is still sore from the ride there and back but it was a superb experience riding in and out with so many other bikes too. I hope I'm able to go next year!

D'oh, my fault, should have said which bike I was using. I went down to Concorde 2 with a few of the Odd Mod Squad (which earned a few stares! "Mods in Harley country?" ) but we didnt see you. It was a great day, but you were right it was less busy than last year, no doubt due to the absence of the Orange County Chopper people. Perhaps we'll bump into each other next year! You might have a scooter by then!

that baron......what is it? looks like one of them honda things that were knoking about a while back (was it a shadow or joker?) Its a baron retro from www.scootercentral.co.uk It appears to be a copy of the Honda Joker/Shadow (European/Japanese name), but with the same 125 engine as all the other chinese scoots. (BR125t) Its a great posing machine.
