Not sure about spare key's or how to get the broken bit out (perhaps a paperclip or strong magnet) anyway I have another question, how long did you wait to get your plates and road tax? I paid for mine 2 weeks ago and I still don't have them. Phoned the dealer but just get told DVLA has the paperwork.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Thats the feeling I get every time I get on a bike! To get the key out........ 1st make sure the lock is in the "off" position! Use the broken off piece of key to do this. It may be possible to poke something thin into the back of the lock, like stiff wire and push the broken piece of key out enough to grab it with pliers. It may also be possible to tap the removed lock onto a hard surface to dislodge the key. You will have to take out the lock and seperate it from the electrical backplate. Any locksmith worth his salt should be able to make you a replacement. You are not the first person to snap a key off in the lock..............And you won't be the last!

Also consider new lockset for the whole scooter - at finland those cost little over 40 euros, I don't think the price can be that much higher where you live. You get spare key too, in case you break or loose the original

did you not get a spare key with it that you can get one cut from or a key number to order a spare. Otherwise i see from the price lists that a whole new lock and set of spares keys is not too much. Hope your knee is ok. Even at my age i get a buzz from riding my scoot
