I’m on the verge of purchasing my scooter, but am reluctant to pay the £135 to have it delivered fully PDI’ed and registered, especially as I have access to a van. In the van there are strap points either side, what I am stumped on is where on a scooter is a safe strong point to tie it, as I do not want it to fall over going around the first corner. Any suggestions

handlebars usually work, if possible. the rear shock works too. also a strap right over the seat usually seems to stabilize it, especially if it is on the center stand. good luck!

According to "him that knows" if it has a centre stand put it on it then tie the top of the forks or handlebars and the rear suspension tops or under/over the seat down to some low points in the van and ratchet down until both tyres are firmly on the floor of the van.

She's right I usually add a duvet or sleeping bag over the bike as well to stop it getting scratched.

here's mine almost out of the crate the whole scoot was inside a steel frame attached with nuts n bolts inside a cardboard box. you should'nt have any problems securing "the big box" forgot I've still got the remains of the crate. measures 66inches X 22 X 31 ........... C

Many thanks for the feedback. Its fully built up and pdi'ed, that's why the delivery cost I have been quoted is more.

put the bike on a stand and put front wheel right up against back wall not door end and tie brake levers so they are on then use handlebar and rear shock and also put a block of wood under back tyre it should be ok

I just tied it down from the handlebar and rear. The scooter was standing on the center stand and after few kilometers, I checked and tightened up the ropes. Drowe about hundred kilometers at speed 80km/h without any problems. After tightening the ropes the scooter was rock steady and took the bumps and bypassing trucks just fine.
