I have noticed a new scooter dealer has opened in Beaconsfield Road Brighton. They are selling their own branded versions of our scoots and quads. I see they have a service department so I e mailed them asking if they would be happy to carry out repairs to any Chinese scoot etc. They did not reply but I would think if you are in the area and you need some work done it may be worth calling in to ask. They cant use the excuse of not being able to get spares, since they are the same bikes but with a lower spec.

I dropped in and talked to the guys there. The parent company is SINNIS International (UK) Ltd. Their website is www.onthewheel.co.uk/I talked to them about servicing and yes they would be able to service bikes bought from them AND other Chinese scoots with a proviso of "as long as parts are available". Basically they said that although their scooters may be physically the same (eg bodywork) the engine internals may be different to other ones bought elsewhere. I did ask "aren't they all yamaha or honda copy engines?" they replied (unconvincingly) "no". At the guitar shop though we met up with another biker guy who told us to try KC Motorcycles in Hove. Apparently Kevin there will service and try his best to get parts for any scooter taken to them. I've looked online and they do have a website: www.kcmotorcycles.com/We didn't get chance to visit them and unfortunately couldn't stay in Brighton to catch a gig or a club like I wanted to but hey, maybe next time. Hopefully this information will be of use to someone anyway. I was more than a little captivated by the little lime green scoot, here:- We also paid a visit to CD Scooters in Brighton, a Piaggio dealer because my friend has a 250 Piaggio he is thinking of upgrading and I kind of fell for an LX50 in there, too!

The one they were just de-crating to set up was already sold which was probably for the best when my credit card is to hand. I do think that they coped well with a stupid girl jumping up and down and going "ooh ooh" PS: Does your partner know you are talking to me on here? Could be seen as flirting ya know

Yes, they did say they were hoping to be more of a wholesaler than a retailer, ie they wanted to sell scooters in multiples rather than just one at a time. However I got the distinct impression that they would have sold me one there and then if I'd wanted(and if they had a lime green one going spare)

I guess they are another company wanting to get rich quick on Chineses scooters. Their prices are not too bad but the spec of their bikes seem to be less than most that are available
