Hi Guys, First of all, I'd like to thank you all, this board has already been really helpful to us. Just bought a Baotian QT11 and having some questions. - Is it fit for a passenger. The seat is just big enough for two, but there is no place to put the passengers feet. - Does it have to be redistricted ? Will it harm the scooter if not ? Here in Belgium it isn't even legal to redistrict it, it is set at 45 KM/H (about 28 mph), which isn't very fast . I've been told that it's better for the scooter to redistrict it, what do you guys think, and why ? - The manual says that the first 200 km (124 miles) it shouldn't go faster then 16 mph, and after wards 22 mph till 1000 km (621 miles) is reached. It's a real drag, I'm getting in the way of pedestrians . - Should the transmission oil be changed at the same time as the engine oil ? - Is it really so hard to kick-start it, or is it just me and my lack of force ? Well, I hope to find some answers, for the moment very satisfied with it, just hope never to fall, cause with all that plastic I don't think there will be anything left of it. ;D

Not sure about your laws, but in the U.K. you must have proper foot rests for passengers, and if its restricted you would be struggling anyway. Again for de-restriction reguardless of whats good for the bike you will have to go with your laws, and licence entitlement the same as over here. Yes the transmission oil needs to be changed, its awfull stuff in there right now, so thick its like honey. A good gearbox oil of E.P 90 will also help you go a bit faster as the gears will run easier and smoother too. The Kick starts are not to be taken too seriously on the bikes, they are not that strong, but may get you out of trouble if you get a flat battery, talking of which, these chinese batteries dont last too long either, perhaps only a couple of months in some cases, so expect to change it, either under warranty or out of your piggy bank. The plastics are no worse than any other scoot, i.e Honda, if you fall off you will unfortunatly probably break of damage some. Hope this helps and have happy and safe riding.

I find with my 50QT it starts very well at the touch of the button but always needs a little throttle at the same time which is not what the handbook says. Do watch the battery, mine had a slight leak so over a month it was loosing its charge. Replaced under warranty and at the moment all well, in fact it started first time yesterday after a two week break. Enjoy and ride safe.
