Sorry to hear about your scoot, it a bastard when some ar5eh0le pinches your stuff.
Put a chain, or isk lock on it. I reckon those wire rope ones are good cos they are hard to cut and you can see they are there from the oter side of the road.
Then take the CDi out -it'll be impossible to get it to go then !
On my bike its in the same compartment as the battery.
It justs plugs in, and its only the size of a box of matches so its easy to carry.
Just lift the mat up, plug it back in, and your scootering !

Hi, Trappie, so sorry to hear about this, I used to live in Essex, Peterborough, a & Chesterfield area's and I lived in constant fear, almost paranoia, about my bike of the time being nicked, or even the car. I got so sick of it, bolting things down, chaining up etc, just to try to keep whats mine, knowing full well I'm on my own if anything happened as the Police are utterly useless & dont want to know about property theft, and insurance will only protect themselves. Now up here, in Shetland, what a difference,no vehicle crime, (the odd car gets scratched, someone backs into another car and drives off, but thats about it!) I very rarely lock the car, or the house, mind I have got 4 dogs, and I leave my keys and helmet on the bike when I pop into the shops! You really have to experience it to know the relief!. What can I say about your situation, just don't let them beat you, easy to say, but how?

Break the bike for spares. Get some cash out of it at least. ( a lot of people need baotian spares!) Then keep that money and save up some more and then invest in a new bike.
