hi I believe its easy to find good oil in UK, ex valvoline, castrol, mobil, motul, shell etc. Bt its important, use semisyntetic oil, no full sintetic. Its big chanses that your Baotian have old Honda macnine (GY6 or so), and this machine runs better with semisyntetic vs full sintetic oils. Its the same like all older macnines. (Sorry for my english, m from Macedonia ).

Don't buy "good value" oil...buy good oil, you'll be glad of the extra expense in the long run.

I think you can't beat Castrol GPS (4-stroke 10/40) from Halford.... 5 litres for £21 I think ..... I changed the oil on 3 different scoots / bikes with one tub !
It's good quality stuff too.

Watch out for the spring behind the oil drain. I can & probably will fly out when you undo the drain nut. It also makes life difficult when you try to put it back in. I have found the following technique helpful to get it back in: I lay on the ground, with one arm over the seat. With the other I push up & turn the nut back in (At the same time) I takes some practice to get back in quickly. The first time I changed my oil, it took me 15 minutes of fighting to get the plug back in. (But I did not seek any advice before hand)
