went up me mates in the wet to give him some money, as i was leaving i went round a corner at bout 5mph sum numpty had parked his van right on the corner so had to swerve over a manhole cover (GRRRRRRR) to avoid it n hit the back brake the bike just slipped from under me nothing i cud do im fine a few scratches n thank god the bike is ok loose wing mirrors a few stratches on the fairing and brake levers, never am i going out on it in the wet again

update - i have just noticed the steering column is out of line, when the wheel is straight the handle bars are slightly offshot! this is all i need

It works for my Mountain bike so the principle should be the same I guess.

no it doesnt lol, it goes straight through a big hole to make it a solid bar, no way of twisting back into shape ally

a while ago also sliped going round a corner on me qt9 ad 5mph was slide or try and balance other way and maybe get catapulted down road

Loosen everything off and try it it should work unless something is bent.

something is bent, but i dont know what so im no closer to siolving it, the internet bike shop want 90 pound for a new steering column
