According to T&G issue 7, the Aeon Torch 50 is "very keenly priced model which comes fitted with a front disc brakeas standard. This is basic transport at a basic price. Roadside breakdown assistance is included free for the first year" The cost (and this was in 2001) is £1050 otr Manufacturer: Aeon Motor Company (Tiawan) Engine: 49cc 2 stroke automatic Cooling: forced air Weight: 63kg Top speed: 30mph Restricted, 40mph derestricted Wheels: Front 3.00 x 10 Rear 3.00 x 10 Brakes: Front disc Rear Drum Colour Options: silver or red The Aeon is not Chinese it is Tiawanese, so build quality will be a whole lot better, although this is reflected in the price, which in these e-bay days is hardly as "keenly priced" as it might have been 5 years ago. The Aeon dissapeared from the T&G listings years ago so parts may be difficult to come by. The Aeon Motor Company still exists and more spec on the bike can be found here: www.allproducts.com.tw/traffic/aeonmotor/am-5.html
