Hey all, I just got riding a new Boatian (BT-Q50 i think), a black one like alot of you guys have.... What are these scoots like in the winter time? Do they work at all? Do i have to cover it up and such? - I am new to the world of scoots and am a little worried about this. Nice forum BTW, so far you guys posts have been very helpful! Cheers! - Nick

I would advise that you get a can of spray electrical sealer, its called DAMP START over here and spray every connector, cdi, starter leads etc. I also use spray grease on the stand pivots, and WD40 on ignition lock, seat lock and fuel cap. Copious amounts of WD40 wont hurt under the seat bucket either, all over the electrical items and frame, there is not much paint on the iron work. Then use common sence, as you would any other bike, cover it or better still garage it. Any bike will soon rust if you dont look after it, these being just as bad, or perhaps worse than so0me others as the build quality is not quite as good as Honda for example. Apart from that you have nothing to worry about.
