Also be wary of so called mates, on scooters, they can brake for no good reason. My son trashed a few of the panels on one of my scooters last night. He was out with a couple of his mates when one of them decided to brake because he didn't like one of the scooters being close behind him. The second scooter driver, trying to avoid the first, hit his leg and ripped his jeans and my son, trying to avoid the 2 scooters in front of him, hit the first scooter and damaged a few of the panels on his nearside. A few lessons were learnt last night. Mind you, in my younger days, you weren't classed as a bike rider until you had had 3 accidents. I had my 3 and was hospitalised twice. We were all young once. Here, does anyone know the price for panels for a BT-9?
Cheers

ally1756,
Where'd you get your panels from?
I've priced 4 major panels, from asiamotor, at £66.00 - I don't know what the p&p will be though.
My son hit his friend's scooter's exhaust pipe, so all the panels at that height were damaged.
Cheers

panels are actually extremly cheap for the boatians. an average individual panel for an italian scooter is about 30 quid on its own possibly more.

Has anyone had their BT50-9 repaired by insurance because of an accident, if so, did you have any probs getting a garage to do it? Someone pulled out in front of my son this morning, he scored 9 1/2 points for a sideways roll over the bonnet followed by three frontward rolls, now all of the front panels, foot panel and offside panels need replacing. The car driver has admitted fault. Yet another lesson learnt. Luckily, he's not one of these idiots that ride bikes only wearing shorts and a t-shirt or less.
Cheers

From what I know of insurance claims, and if it is anything like cars, it is likely that the bike will be writen off as uneconomical to repair. Buy it back from the insurance, buy a new one and have the old one for spares.
