dont know if any of u guys have noticed there is a new version of the QT-9 on the block, the mk2, main differences to the mark 1 being: no alarm no remote start no top box Sports exhaust Better Alloy Wheels Clour coded Bolts Colour coded transmission casing Rear Spoiler Extra LED brake light and as i compared mine(mk1) to arrans (mk2) i realised the build quality has gone up majorly, they now have baotian badges on the front and the logo stamped on, the build quality also seemed a lot better and seems to be a much better quality plastic used on the paneling, speedo cable looks better quality and generally seems a better bike at eye level however without the space for a top box and no alarm i think they have made quite a mistake making it look more appealing then removing the alarm, just my opinion will let u know the diffferences in performance when he's run his in ally ps the exhausts sound the exact same

I think I have the mark 2 also since I have the badges, Boatian imbosed in red on the crank case, red suspension and they did make the point of telling me about the improved wheels. I do have the alarm and top box and remote start. I have alway thought my build quality was not too bad and so far do not seem to have had the problems that others on here have had. Mine is going like a dream at the moment, with the sun out yesterday and no wind it was a real joy huming along the coast Road at about 48 yesterday. I am evening looking forward to poping to the supermarket on it this morning (sad or what).

Yip - mines a Mk 2 as well ...... the whole bike is colour-coded too, around the "fairing".... definately looks more modern and styling, and the new exhaust looks much better... however as you said, no alarm, etc...
Doesn't worry me too much as my BT50-9 is only ever in 2 places - locked in the yard or locked up in the back of the Garnde Centre where my missus works!

The mark 2 in the link does not have the aluminium silencer, and pedal plates i beleive this is only on the N spec along with the alarm and remote start. This is what I have and I have not found the build quality to be too bad. See www.baotianuk.com for more pics. More also as the baotian badge on the silencer, top box and stamped on the front suspension
