Hey all,
Well I just agreed a deal on a new scooter! I only sold the Gilera Runner last night and by 1pm today I had paid for my new scoot !!
I considered getting a brand new Chinese 125 but the chance came up to get one of my favourite 2 scooters (The Suzuki Bergman 125 and the Yamaha Majesty 125).
The one I have bought is a 2000 model Yamaha YP125 Majesty....it has only 3,283 genuine miles, validated by the MOTs. It has recently been sleeping for a couple of years in warm, dry storage, although it's since been fully serviced and runs like a dream.
Just been to see it at lunchtime today and bought it on the spot.... It is coming will a full year's MOT and a year's tax... and a new battery (the current battery started the bike fine (Elec start only) but the seller wants to stick a new battery on for the sale so the bike will have no problems.
It has one tiny little mark (half the size of a postage stamp) but is otherwise absolutely stunning and unmarked.
I had a short ride of it and it felt more like riding a car - so stable and nice to handle - powerful, but a nice smooth power delivery.
Anyway, he is delivering it to me at the weekend but in the meantime, here are the pics from the eBay listing (it was on eBay but I bought it off line as he is just down the road from me and I agreed the deal off-line).

I know many on here will not like this type of scooter - it's undoubtedly a bit of a Grandad's scooter, but it's exactly what I wanted to replace the Gilera with ... doesn't attract too much attention (which is what I want) and the sort of scoot that I feel comfortable on, being 34 years old in one week!!
By the way Ginger Phil has his new beast of a maxi scooter, the Piaggio X8 125 - check out the Pug Forum to see his pics (unless he adds some on here - what a scooter he has there !!
David.
