The title says it all really, me and the missus have our CBT on Friday - is there anything worth swotting up on before we go along ?
(We've both been driving cars for 16 years, so not so much on the highway code side, more on the bike side).
Cheers !

I found the hardest thing aws the u-turn and the tight figure of eight, just need balance at slow speeds really.

Hardest thing for me was remembering to check dash and mirrors every 5 seconds and doing lifesavers before moving round parked cars

I'm sure you'll both be fine, you both have the necessary experience of driving cars, that goes in your favour Above all remember its only a "Certificate of Basic Training", NOT a test. Listen and take note of what the instructor says, the CBT is designed for the 16 year olds who have no knowledge of the road.

I've done the CBT twice now and can't go round the cones for love nor money. Never stopped me passing. I think the main thing they are looking for is a mature, responsible rider. Listen to what is said and try your best - you'll both sail through it.
Good Luck (though you won't need it).

hey i done my CBT on friday and I passed it. everyone said to me that u cant actually fail a CBT, but i found out you can. but dont worry.this is only in extreme situations. like when i done mine, there was a lad there that almost failed and that was due to some shody driving and not bein able to hold the bike properly.
Anyway, good luck. you will be fine.

@ Andy,
We're doing the CBT on Scooters provided by the training school...... (Don't know if they'll be 50s or 125s), so no Gilera super performance thankfully !

the only way you can fail a cbt is if your realy realy stupid n i mean over the top stupid, you dont have to do theory or anything, just listen to the instructor n ride the bike, its easier than doing 6+6
good luck mate, you really dont need it
