Anyone know the difference between a TAISHAN And a Baotian,
I reckon the same scooter with a different sticked, or is one better.

They look different but underneath they're the same bikes built around the same design.

I think the engines are 99% the same. If I was buying again I'd go for a retro-style Baotian like that Union Jack one.

I'd still choose a retro Baotian and plaster union jack stickers all over it. ;D Am I right in saying Baotian are not really meant to be on sale in the UK? What Bike magazine list every bike manufacturer who are legitimately available over here but Baotian are not listed so maybe it's only these eBay companies who are importing them?

So really they're not "officially" available in this country.

I was in one of the main motorbike dealers in Glasgow last weekend and a Yamaha Rep came in and showed us the sales figures for 2005 for scooters, Baotian is the top selling brand in the UK at the moment so recon we're on to winners!

on ebay iv enqiered each seller of tashan and boation 9 of then selling 20 per week I can quite believe that. If you do a search on ebay for Baotian (tick the box which says Search item and description) then hundreds will show up, there must be about 30 Taishans up for sale right now too.
