It was the carb! Had some crud stuck in there. It was keeping the slide from going up & down properly. Sadly I am back off the raod again Rode it yesterday, but acceleration seemed hesitant & was tought to get started. I had to kick it a lot to get it going. Tore the carb down last night & found that the low speed jet was clogged. Cleaned it all out & put it back together. Then I went for a ride. I rode around for about 15 minutes & every thing seemed fine. I stopped at a traffic light & idled there for about 30 seconds, & suddenly it stalled. I could not get it going again. I suspect the low speed jet is clogged again. Fortunatly, I was only 4 blocks from home. The carb has been torn down & cleaned 4 times now & each time it gets crud in it again. Over the weekend I cleaned out the air intake hose, so I am thinking there is some crud in my gas tank. No one around here stocks a fuel filter that will fit, so I had to order one online this morning. I dont see any point in riding till the filter gets here, as I will just be cleaning the carb every day. So it is back in the shed until Friday or Saturday. Oh well, At least I got to ride it a couple times to ge tme out of withdrawal

I could do that. But I have a lot of other things I have been putting off doing while I have been working on my scoot. I f I get a chance I will drain the tank & clean it out. What do you recomend to clean it with?

I took my tank off the bike (4 bolts). I washed it out with soapy water, dried it well and it has been fine.
