why are you so mad abut getting abs, it's not really needed on scooter because. 1. they don't really go fast enough to worry about the brakes locking 2. it is quite hard to lock the brakes unless on mud or grass ect (especially on these Chinese scoots) and 3, it's nice to do a few wheel locks sometimes but i can see in the extra safety view why you want it

I have one fitted to my BT50QT-9, it came as standard, and I can't tell if it does anything or not. I've tried to lock the front wheel and managed to do it!
If some one could explain how it works, as there are no sensors or anything to detect when the wheel has locked up.

Are you sure that it's front wheel ABS.The only reason I say this is that on my wife's car, the abs only works on the back wheels by design. Where as my car has 4 wheel ABS.
It may be that the ABS works on the back wheel only.

Best thing is to have drum brakes - I defy anyone to try locking up a wheel with these fitted!

I defy anyone to stop quickly with drum brakes.

I had a dt50 when i was 16 with drum brakes and it stopped very quickly. I took a corner too fast went on the grass verge and into a drainage channel Put me straight over the bars, is that quick enough for you???
