Not a bad idea but to be honest I think most people will just bookmark the address so any kind of domain name isn't really needed. One of my old websites used the cjb.net service and I bloody hated it. Although it was easier to remember it gave you a pop-up advert each time you visited plus it used to slow the site down a bit. I'm in talks with Rusty about getting a proper website built to go with this forum, Rusty will be the man in charge of the site as I know naff all about building proper sites but if this forum really takes off (and it hasn't done too bad after only a few short weeks) I might register a .co.uk domain.

Like Ginger Phil said I've bookmarked this forum so it doesn't really make any difference to me what the address is. I like the idea of a proper website, it's about time somebody made one in support of these scooters instead of people slagging them off all the time.

Recomendations for the website, why not rename the club 'The Chinese Scooter Owners Club', welcoming for everyone with a chinese scooter, make a showroom with a page for a person showing a couple of pictures and some comments, keep a forum, and the design should be crisp and clear and not too fancy.

I like the name "The Chinese Scooter Owners Club" but would people get confused and think we're all scooter owners who are Chinese?

Looking very good chap!! People accessing this site should also visit Ginger Phil’s excellent forum. He is to all intents and purposes the God of Chinese Scooter Information on the Internet, as he was the first person to actually do something about the lack of information about Chinese Scooters. Yeah, I'd agree with that. ;D As for content how about a few members from here writing a review of their scooters? I'm not sure if I'm the ideal person to write a review on the Taishan Commuter as I've got nothing else to compare it to plus I've only been on the road about seven weeks but if nobody else steps forward I don't mind doing it. A "how to derestrict your scooter" section with step-by-step photographs would be good eh Rusty?

Im in the middle of scripting up the reviews section as we speak. Should be working properly by the end of the day. Im trying to do this in between 'real work' so it's not as pretty as could be, and work is going a bit slower than i might have hoped, but it's getting there.
Note the large link on the right to this place. Ain't i a sweety!!!
The derestriction bit sounds like a very good idea. Perhaps you can take some photos while you are doing yours. Then i can see if they work on mine ;-)

You've got more chance of meeting Father Christmas than you have of seeing me dismantling my scooter. Let me know when the site is finished and I'll advertise it on eBay for you along with this forum.

Quick Question. What size screen resolution do you guys have on your pc's? Im assuming that it's either 800x600 or 1024x768 . Can we have a quick pop quiz so that i can see what size is most popular please
