Im in Tamworth, i Would Love To Meet, theres always a met for "Bikers" on a tuesday night at bassets Pole but no one has any chinese scoots there i feel a bit left out.

Is bassets pole still going strong then? I used to go a few years ago (showing me age now) but gave it up when i stopped riding big bikes, I thought the police were cracking down on it as there were some serious accidents down there with people acting like fools

people do pee about now and again there yeah on their Honda CBRs and All the bigger sporty bikes but they are more sensible than they used to, they will love it soon as the island is being made wider so they can swerve even more on one wheel!!!
The Police sometimes sit around and watch but most the time they go after the "Boy Racers" in the done up Pug06's N Scoobys.

So Yeah its going strong still, bout 500-800 bikes a week.

So Anyone else up 4 a meet somewhere?

Last time i went to bassets pole it was full of losers trying to prove what a big man they are and i dought it has changed #6#

A couple of years ago (4 to be exact) I used to go to MFN - Miles from nowhere! Thats the name of a great Wednesday night pub meet, near Eastwood, Notts, (not far from ikea). It is owned by the drummer and wife of Shawaddy waddy, its out in the country, and you would all be welcome. Really good collection of all types of bike, and brilliant bands too, all for free. Did'nt get the idiots you got at Bassets either, but there is a railway line, and you were held in high esteem if you could ride your bike over the foot bridge, there and back! Seen a few tumbles though. Never once saw a punch up either, well worth the effort to get to if its still going.
