Having a problem with my Baotian btqt9, seems that when the engine is first started up, she goes to accelerate, then after 20meters or so she looses speed and the reves drop. To be able to accelerate with the reves higher again I need to let the engine cut off, which happens when I just stop, and then start it up after 30 seconds then its back to normal again. This happens around 3 times untill its warm, then still happens but not as much when the engine is warmed up. Any advice please would be really helpful

also i had a very similar problem to yours when my carb was incorrectly set up.
Readjust the idle fuel mixture screw to 2 turns out from in and also if you can, lower the washer on the carb needle to the 2nd or 3rd notch down

The spark plug is used to spark the fuel? So if this is working fine and the engine starts up, how does that effect my problem. I am only saying this because I want to learn as much as I can about my scoot

Spark plugs are very important parts and can cause weird and wonderfull problems if damaged or defective.
Changing your spark plug regularly is an important way to keep your engine running well.
Im not saying that its definetly the spark plug but its allways best to change it

Yer I think I might do that, I havnt changed it in over 10000 miles!!!! I service the bike myself as there are no places around here that will service it for me. I am glad that sombody came up with the idea about needle, as this started to happen around about i lowed it to let more fuel in from the derestriction guide, shall i put it back up again?

Definitely change your spark plug and if it was working ok before you touched the needle, put it back to its original state and see if that fixes it
