Hi All,
This is my first post so please forgive if I break any rules.
I have a Baotian Bt125 t-9, but the main beam light does not come on.
To explain further: The low beam bulb works as it should. Whn I click the switch for the main beam bulb it does not come on. There is another button that switches it from main beam to full beam, but toggling that does not turn on the bulb either.
I have replaced the bulb, I think it was a philips 30/30w without any luck.
I thought it must be one of the fuses, but I cannot find a fuse box.
All of the other electrics work fine: The indicators, the horn, rear light and the low beam light (as described above).
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on, or what else I can try before I get the old multi meter out and start working back to the battery?
Does anyone know where I can get service manuals for this bike (I have already downloaded and looked at the service manuals for the 50cc version)?
This is a great forum and as someone else has said in an earlier discussion: they are great bikes, but perhaps need minor technical know-how
Regards,
sapper

it's more than likely just a wire come loose, the wiring on these things are a bit patchy to say the least #emot114#

Its really easy to take the front panel of the 125-T9 , Just the big screw on the front and two small self tappers at the top corners above the glovebox, slide the whole front panel towards the front of the bike to remove.
All the wires are easy to get to there.

Thank you for your comments.
which leads me to the next question: The self tappers that you describe are shaped like a 'V'
When I loosen the 2 screws and take the front panel off, these tappers keep slipping off the plastic hole and falling into the engine. Is there any smart way of keeping them on the front panel?

The self tappers are the screws, I think that you are talking about the metal clips that they fit into (sorry - don't know what they are called), Mine kept falling off too., You need to take them off gently squeeze them with pliers, then refit them. They are supposed to fit and stay on.

Resolved.
I managed to solve this problem. It was (as stated above) a small plug-connector that had come undone.
If anyone is interested, the details are described below:
From the sterring stack there are about 6 bundles of wires that come down from the handlebars. There is a thin bundle with 2 wires (one blue and one white) - the plug had come undone. It was covered by a sheath so that it was not immediately obviously, but once I had identified it, it took only seconds to put it right and 'then there was light!'
Bundle 1: orange light blue green Budle 2: light blue, black yellow/white orange blue brown blue/white green bundle 3: red/white orange green grey blue light green bundle 4: (this is the offending party) blue white bundle 5: brown/white pink bundle 6: yellow brown green yellow/red
