I've done over 800 km on my Baotian 125 and all was ok (Mostly). Then this morning I'm going along and the engine just loses power and dies on me. I couldn't get it to restart at all, so had to push it home again! Now, what do I need to check to try to get it going again for tomorrow? or do I need a mechanic? The lights were still on so I assume battery ok and there is petrol in the tank......Anyone offer any help? Thanks

If this happens to yours, then have a look at the thin breather pipe that runs from the carb to the fuel pump. Mine seemed to get caught on a sharp bit of the frame and split. The reason it is a problem is that the fuel pump is vacuum driven (by this pipe) and a hole in the pipe stops the vacuum and therefore, no petrol is pumped to the carb. If you have this problem, replace the pipe and make sure that it is held away from the part of the frame that catches it.

Thanks. I've no idea where that is, but I'll try and find a piece of pipe with a hole in it...can you (or anyone) point me in the right direction, please? thanks

There are only two pipes going to the fuel tank, you can see both of them if you look from the back of the bike, just under the rear lights. The one without a plastic fuel filter is the vacuum one. You should be able to locate the vacuum one at the carburettor end, as it is joined to a "T" piece.
Remove the petrol one from the carb, put it in a container to collect petrol (You WILL spill some, so be really careful). Very little petrol should come out of the pipe.
Remove the other pipe from the T piece, suck on it and petrol will flow from the fuel pipe. It wont flow if your vacuum pipe is split. You will notice some resistance to sucking on the pipe if it is not split.
Either replace the pipe, if that is the problem, or just put it back together if not. Clean up all the petrol.

Once I hit a bump and the air filter fell off the carburetor and it died. This was sort of random, but I bet something similarly obvious happened to yours.

Nah, bound to be the vacuum pipe on that model, they are not held in place at all, and they pass right by the hinge on the frame. They trap really easily.
Mine now has cable ties to keep it out of the way.

I havnt much trouble with mine but it does sound likes it caught and rip. For a temp repair I would recommend duck tape #thumbs_up# but you wpuld need to get is sorted asap if it is.
