Hi all i glad this forum is here as its near the only 1, i received my scooter today and was pleased until i started it it didn't start and after 30 attempts on the kick start it finally started. this is a brand new scooter so maby this is why. but what i did realize is that nothing happened when i use my electric start, absolutely nothing, and yes i do pull in the back brake when i do it and make sure its on the center stand. all the lights and indicators work on the ped apart from the rear brake light, but the back normal light works but nothing to the light when i apply the brakes. these are the only 2 things Ive had a problem with apart from that its all good, well apart from acceleration i hope people can help me out here. so i can get on my

Hmmm, you could check valve gaps to make sure there not too tight or too loose! That might explain your difficult starting and poor acceleration.
Im not sure as too why your electric start is not working

You take the rocker cover of the engine(engines top lid) its held on by 4, 8mm bolts. when you have taken the cover off u will see the valves and the things which move the valves(rockers). You just need to make sure theres a very small gap (about 0.10mm) between the valve's and the rockers!

Could it be another battery problem?
As long as there's a bit of juice in the battery I'd imagine the lights & indicators would work but not the kick start.
Of course, I could be talking rubbish and probably am. ;D

From my experience the batteries they come with are useless anyway. My electric start wouldnt go because the battery didnt have enough power. get a decent battery.

why wouldent the kick start work. mind you it could be the battery as i did by acident conect the wrong ends up and there was a litles spark........ You blew the glass fuse in the battery compartment when you did that. Replace it, and the electric start should work perfect... And next time be careful with your connections!

O yes the scooter will be hard to kick start when the battery is dead too, because the scooter has to work to get the battery up to charge. It would be better to kick start it with the battery disconnected if it's dead.

yes thanks for all suggestions guys, but it was all cause by the 2 wires not being conected under the front panel, now there conected its absolutely fine now. its quite a good ped, the ontl thing i find is anoying is slow aceleration, and evan slow top speed

For a better top speed, you could derestrict it. Check out the link in the Engine & derestriction section.
As for the acceleration, you need to change the roller weights for lighter ones. You will need weights that are 16x13mm and between 5.1gm and 6.5gm. The lower the weight the faster the engine revs, BUT you will need to service the engine more often!

yes im going to get it de-ristricted but after its done a few hundred miles, as its brand new, and doesent de-ristricting it help the acceleration, becasue its pant, and i dont realy want to buy anything extra, as i dont know hw to fit it ect.
cheers

Derestriction only really gives you a higher top speed, some people say it helps acceleration but I wouldn't have thought you'd notice it.

well with these Chinese scoots, most of the restriction is in the carb! so if u derestrict the carb it would most definitely help acceleration!
