Hello all, My scooter won't stay running more than 45 seconds. I think it's definitely a fuel issue. Whether it's leaning out or flooding I do not know. It'll start easily, but it will die in about 45 secs- even when opening the throttle. It'll then take a minute of waiting or cranking to get it started again.
I'm going to bypass the fuel filter and see if that is the problem. I tried both of my carbs and they both do the same thing (even though one is too large).
Also, the stupid air filter refuses to stay on the carburetor!
Any new insight or ideas would be great!

I have isolated the problem,
The pin on my 50cc carb must be slightly bent, because it does not move easily enough. The bike will not stay running for longer than 45 secondes no matter what I do.
It starts and runs poorly with the 125cc carb, but I don't have an airfilter yet so I can not tune it. Good news is it will stay running as long as I hold down the throttle a little. However, I have little hope that I can tune this carb because it's not meant for 80cc.
It is a carburetor issue. It looks like I'm going to have to hit up ebay for a new one! Do any of you know what style of carbs we have? MIkuni? Keihin? I would like to purchase some new main jets as well.
