HELLO JOULES. Most Chinese scoots will crawl up hills although 10mph does sound a bit bad, on mine it's around 20 mph. Is your bike pretty new as it'll take a few hundred miles before loosening up?

That explains it. My scooter would only reach 20mph max the first few times I took it out but once you get a hundred or so km's on the clock it should be fine.

I know my bike is a 125 not a 50cc but i've not had any problem with speed, does 35-40 uphill and 55 on the flat, however going downhill it has done over 65 but that was when my exhaust had fallen off so i didn't push it to see how quick it would go!
Try running it in, it is tempting to go too fast but if you don't thrash your scoot it'll be better for it in the long run (not that i took my own advice)
