OK -- Have just got Baotian Delivered and nearly set up. Having EXTREME difficulty attaching one of the springs for the bottom stand thingio. One went on ok (bit of a struggle) but the other just will not go on. Am I trying to do it the wrong way or what? Have even tried heating the spring to high temperatures but still will not fit between the two sticky-out bits.....
Help

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
I'm sure there is someone who can help, but my scooter came with the stand and spring fitted, so I can't help, sorry.

Dont heat it any more you may weaken the metal. Use a pair of good mole grips and get them as tight as you can on the spring, get someone to hold the bike while you stretch the spring over the pin. There is a tool you can make for the job but you should be able to get it on without it.

2 screw drivers stand on one and pull the other hard a few times to loosen the spring up a bit

Thanks -- I have it fitted now..........
New problem though -- None of the controls on the right handlebar work hence the headlight and starter switch won't work. Cant kick start it either - presumably a related problem - all the left side functions work i.e. indicators and both brakes make the brake lights go on..... Does this mean I have a severed wire in the cable bundle from that control? I can't find a manual for my specific model 50QT-11 and the manuals on this site are not helping.... Does anyone know what the wierd cylinder thing is that sits behing the headlight? Is it a "Flasher"? can't find a reference to it or picture of it anywhere....... Does anyone know where I can find a manual for this specific model or has anyone had a similar problem...?
Help -- I am desperate to get the thing running and test it out.............
Thanks in advance...

Hello & welcome, A likely source for horn & starter probs is a connector plug. Take off the front panel. Then find the back of the ignition switch. Follow the wires that come out of the back of it. They will lead to a white connector plug about 4-6 inches down. Check to see if this plug is seated properly. If it is even part way loose then your headlight, electric start & horn may not work. This plug can also affect your gas gauge. This plug has a penchant for vibrating loose. I had to wrap mine with electric tape to keep connection. Check this first before tearing the scoot apart. Good luck & hope that helps
