I have recently bought a new chinese scooter the model is a Hua Sha 50QT-7. It looks the same as a ZhonGyu ZY50QT-7. I am having a problem getting insurance for this scooter as it does not appear on any of the insurance listings. I have tried E-bike and a company called Choice insurance and both wouldnt qoute for this scooter can anybody help? Tectel

try Bennetts insurance.
Also you could try telling them the situation, it's the same bike with a different name. Thay will probably suggest insuring it as a Zhongyu, or Baotian.

I have the zhongyu zy50QT-7. when i was shopping around for insurance I was told to say it was the same spec as a baotian bt50QT-9. I managed to get quotes from most companies this way. In the end I got insurance with Equity Red Star through a company called choice quote - they have the zy50QT-7 on their records. (Tel: 01512 210 066). Give 'em a try I think it cost £140 TPO - a bit high but i'd just made a claim on car insurance cos some idiot ran into the back of my Freelander and drove off Hope this helps.
