;D Hi everybody,I was promised a scooter if I got myself into college. Now in catering college, passed my CBT and now have a Baotian Scooter. I'm a li'l bit down about the fact that I have been getting (uphill) and through the Mersey Tunnel at such slow slow speeds of 15mph.I am only 16 and know I can't yet get it fully restricted but its so embarrasing going through the tunnel with about 10 cars getting really impatient behind me. I've had a nose around your site and think its great!

when your scoot breaks in it willl go a bit faster!
But when you derestrict it you should be able to cruise at speeds of 40mph without any problems

Hi Scott,
I know your scooter is brand new, but I would still have it checked over, Fuel mixture, valve gaps etc. because even restricted your scooter should manage more than that up hills. As Hypojam said when it's 'Run in' it will loosen up and run quicker.
Download the service manuals from this forum, that will give you all the info you need to look after your new ride! #emot114#

15MPH on busy roads is not only embarassing, it's downright dangerous. Definatly get the bike checked out, you should be doing double that speed unless your going up a steep hill. To be honest in the interests of safety I'd just de-restrict the bike.

I ask becouse I just replaced my Baotian 50ccm with 125 for same reasons: not going well uphills. I could in best cases co little less than 20mph (30km/h).
Thank you for any help.
