Hello!
Wowsa I am new to scootering and been having a few problems before even getting the scooter on the road.
My Baotian BT 50QT-9 was bought from Ebay at a delightful £475 and when it was delivered to me it came in a metal crate. When my boyfriend was removing the scooter from the crate the back tyre went down. We left it until the registration documents came back which took awhile as I didn't send a check for the tax (grrrrr!). Anyways we finally get it on to the petrol station and fill the tyre up with air... this didn't work so we bought the foam stuff you put in the tyres for a puncture and this worked fine but has slowly been going down over three days. Went to the tyre garage this afternoon to get a new tyre (afetr putting more air in to get me there) and he said that the tyre is fine..... am all confused why would the tyre go down? Could my boyfriend have pulled the tyre away from the wheel making it go down but not giving it a puncture? Is it safe to ride? Also the key snaped in the lock to the seat which has my bike lock and chain in - anyone know how to mend this?
Help! am losing hope and just want to ride my scooter...!

Welcome aboard!! If the tyre is OK then it must be the valves but I'm surprised the garage didn't help you more. There's another topic about leaky valves in the General Scooter Chat section which may be of some help.

About your seat lock, first I would try and get the bit of key out with a pair of thin nosed pliers. Last off, I would try this, remove the left hand body panel (under the one the lock is in). Then try to reach up inside to the back of the lock, you should be able to unhook the latch release cable. Once thats off, just pull it and the seat will pop open. You can now remove the seat and storage box to replace the lock!
The service manual, available from the links section, will probably be of help to you.
