Hi I'm brand spanking new here and I'm just about to join you all as bought a 6 months old baotian 125cc for £500 I just have to go and collect it. I was going to buy a siamoto 125cc and this was new and unregistered for £550 but as this is my first scooter I didn't know what to accept and find out I have to take it for tasting and don't know how much that's costing me and the registering which £35 and road tax, etc. over all it was costing me over £800 and finally I decided to go for this 6 month old as it is registered and taxed and no hassle of the usual. Did I made mastic? What I'm reading here worry me a little but what thought was I see that there is a scooter sailing for £1799.99 in argos and its called starway and it looks exactly like baotian and I thought if argos sailing theme so parts mast be no problem. Any advice for newbee? This is the like to argos www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=3801&productId=147898&clickfrom=name

Welcome aboard Louis, you've just made the biggest mistake of your life. Only messing!! ;D As your Baotian is already registered that's taken a lot of the hassle out of ownership so hopefully you shouldn't have any worries. You'll no doubt encounter a few problems along the way but think yourself lucky you found this forum. I've owned my Taishan for a few months with no problems so as long as you don't thrash your scooter and perform some regular routine maintenance you should be OK.

Compared to Argos prices, you could buy a couple of brand new machines from Ebay for spares, and still be in pocket

If anyone pays that price from Argos then they're a mug.
