Hi whats up? I went on a 2nd service, changed oil, thay maded another de-restriction, (i didnt sow that) on the air filter . After thar my BT49QT-12 was going 70km/h, acceleration great, until after 2 day after 7 km driving the scooter doesn't like go go up after 40km/h. I will tell the facts, i was at red line with fuel( been there before but had no problems), i have to change transmision oil, i have passed 1300 km, scooter is imported with all de-restriction mentioned in the guideline. I don't know what else to write, if you have some ? please write to me.
And one more question? I got my scooter with different tire at the rear rime, it is tire like those on mountain bikes. If i change it will it change something to my scooter like faster speed, more stability.
Sonds like you may have answered your own question, Fuel. Check for dirt from your tank to you carb., and if need be take your carb off for cleaning out. If you have filters clean them too, or replace. Sounds to me your rear tyre has a heavy tread pattern, it should be the same make as the front, other than that it has been going o.k until now, so your tyre is not at fault. Rear tyres usually wear quicker than the front, so you may have to change it earlier anyway, you should expect to get near to 5000 kms out of it, depending on your braking skills, or not, as the case may be!
As Mark says use only the pressures as stated in your handbook or as the stickers say on the bike. Your tread pattern would only make the small difference, may be 2-3 kph, and as they have been o.k so far its not worth changing them until they need to be. Yes your oils are o.k.
Strangley enough, some one has a topic running at the moment, it may be plug related, it appears that we may all need a plug with an 'R' in the title, i.e CR7HSA, as the ones with out the resistor could be causing problems to the cdi unit. My original plug was a chinese Torch A7RTC, the R may mean resistor, but I changed mine almost immediatly going on the road as they are not much good anyway. It appears that some of the plugs in the 50cc bikes dont have resistors going by the numbers. For the sake of a couple of quid its worth the try.
No no Macrofeet they did't do that. The guy just cut one rubber hose where the carburator is.
Can the transmission oil be the problem, but i just change it.Strange it was not that liquid as i tought.Specification is 80w90, i guess for manual transmision.
The situation is getting worse, now it doesnot move more then 40km/h. The acceleration is 50% slower. When everything was ok the scooter sounded like it has some turbo in it(what a comparation ah) , now a bicikle can run me, and that beautiful sound is gone. I asked all of you besause i have very "smart" mehanic in the service, and i have to say some solutions because he have no idea what could be the problem.
If you need more informations please write. Thanks to all.
Check the emission valve on the exhaust (Little box, joined on - rubber hose from that to air box.
If the valve has failed you get the symptoms you mentioned.
Get the bike idling (and warmed up) squeeze the hose with your fingers, if the engine speeds up, the valve has gone.
You probably cant get a new valve, but you don't really need it anyway, so take the rubber hose off the valve, shove a bolt in side it to block it and hold it in place with a jubilee clip, put the hose back on.
Allrighty then! Because the scooter has warranty i decide to go to service.I explain to the guy whats the problem, he said OK. take a walk out of here and i will call you when i am done.( just like a story) And yes he did call in 1.5 hour. The scooter was fixed. I asked whats was the problem but that MF didn't want to tell me. Anyway i really wanted to find out and share with all of you, but that`s mechanic guys. I dont't know what he did with it, but now it goes like crasy to allmoust 50 m/h. I canot bellieve it, the mechanic guy also, and GOD just laughed. I think it is essencial that i had a really good care in "running in" the scooter. BTW that beautiful sound is back.
Sorry for my english. I'll wait for your reply's to discuss what was the solution.
