I'm thinking of putting a bigger carb on my scoot, only problem i can see is the throttle linkages. The new carb needs two cables from the twisty one is to open the butterfly and other is to lift the piston. any idea's?? I'm sure it'll have a nice imrovement if i can manage to pull it off! Thanx

The big difference in all the easily fitted carbs is that the throttle cable enters the carb vertically, lifting the slide rather than opening the butterfly. I can't get clearance on my bike to get the cable in without butchering something, so please let me know how you get on if you do it.
The other cable to the butterfly is manual choke.

Try to get a CVK -type carburator like the original one but a bigger one, of course. Browse web-shops and the eBay. The original for 50 ccm and 125 ccm are 18 mm and 24 mm, respectively. In addition to those, I've seen on the web also 19 mm, 26 mm and 30 mm Chinise CVKs (the outlook is totally same to all these).

I've got the carb its from one of my old 125 twins and i'm using the main jet in my scoot now so she's alreadyused to the extra fuel i'm neraly there it fits the manifold and the throttle cable can be made to fit. the only drawback is i would have to leave the bottom off the trunk space under my seat.
