Hi all its been a while since ive posted a problem with my ped and once again, this one is bad lol. just recently it has been playing up where i go to acelerate away it will just chuter and not pick up speed (flat spot) so ive had to keep stopping for cars, now my first thoght was that it was the fuel and air mixture so i alterd that, but still nothong, so one morning on the way to work it did it agaian, so i opened the panel under the seat to the carb, and tryed removing the breather pipe from the carb, and to my suprise it worked and it ran better then it has ever done, but after about 2 mins of riding the hole bike would die by not having this pipe conected, so ive had to re-atatch the pipe which has put me back to squar one. just to add to the story, ive also had problems with starting where i have had to hold the throtle fully open and it would just run at idle and wont pick up and reves until i open it full for about 5 minuits the things i have checked are kinked pipes, mixture settings and air filter. if anyone could help me out on what to do it would be much apreciated. thanks!

Take the plug out
Check it if its black your mixture is to rich and has fould up your engine put some redex in and set your mixture screw to about 2 1/4 turns from in
you could also try and new plug put an ngk plug in
fuel filter blocked or trapped air or kinked pipe or bad fuel valve
take of the air line to the fuel tank take off the fuel line carb side stick the fuel line in a bottle or such like then suck on the air pipe
if fuel runs into the bottle then its good
if not
empty the fuel tank then take the valve off and make sure the plastic filter in the tank is not blocked
also you could check for blocked main jet or bad bent needle or broken seal in carb lid
hope these ideas help
question did you recently move the clip on the carb needle ?

Could be dirt in the carb. I had a problem where I had to use the throttle tto get the scooter to start. It would eventually fire and I had to use the throttle to carefully build the revs to get it to pull away, (probably flooded). Eventually, it would not start at all. A garage cleaned the carb and it has been OK since.

hi this may sound simple but have you checked the spark plug gap, mine did the same and i put in a new sparky, it made a vast differance.
