I,ve done everything in the deristriction guide and after taking off the 17mm nut I found that there is no slip ring but tube of about 50mm . I did'nt take this off and put everything back together . The bike still only does about 30mph and i have only 350kilometers on the clock , I have jist given it an oil change. any help would be great , I do'nt want to do 50mph but I would like to keep up with the traffic as it's a bit annoying having a 40 ton lorry up your butt. cheers

That tube is the drive face boss.. its ideal length should be 36mm, This is most likely the cause of your low top speed

Ah good man hypojam. Thanks bud. Do you happen to know if it would be longer than 36mm as standard and then I need to cut it down or would it be factory fitted size of 36 ? I should have measured it at the time. cheers

Does anyone know of a place over here in the U.S.A. that breaks down the engine into individual parts and sells them. I've never attempted to purchase anything overseas and don't know how the $$$ conversion would work and even how long it would take to get. I've heard some of the stories on shipping problems.

I took mine off and it measured 39mm so ground it down with an angle grinder to 36mm and now get 47 out of mine!! Was a struggle to get 40 before!!
