Hi all,
I need to replace my air filter on my Baotian BT125-9T.
Does anybody know where I can get one which will fit, preferable around Cumbria area or online?
I can't find anything like it, most of them are sponge or mesh but this one is paper. If you can't get a standard air filter, what type of free flow air filter would I need and where will I get one?
I know that I will have to go through up jetting the carb but I don't mind if it gets the bike fixed!
Thanks in advance!

No, I can't get it to dry out no matter what, I've tried a hair dryer, and just leaving it by the radiator but no luck - the oily greasy stuff just won't budge I had a suggestion off someone that maybe when I put the bike in the first time it went funny (which they charged me £80 for because they said that they had sealed a crack in the airbox, which when I got it home and looked they didn't) maybe the person dealing with my bike oiled the air filter like you do with the mesh ones, when they shouldn't have? Anyways, I really need a replacememnt filter as the bike is off the road and I am having to get my dad to give me a lift to collage everyday, is there such a thing as a universal one, or something like that? I heard that my bike is clone of the Yamaha Cygnus 125, if this is the case will an air filter for that be the same?

Fit a freeflow filter until you can find a replacement filter element

you also need to jet up your carb while you are there!

email the design ethics guy he will have a replacement filter for your airbox
got a carb off him and it came like the next day
not the best idea but if you really need your scoot
you could soak the paper off the filter or try cleaning it with washing up liquid to get rid of the oil if it screws up just
use the the clean sponge if you are planning on real short distances

I also was reccomended that Design Ethics guy, and he stocks everything and sents out str8 away, i got a new belt, and disk pads and a new clutch accembly and that cost me 6 quid delivery.
His prices aren't amazingly cheap, but they are if your other option is to import from the states like i was thinking.
So yeh...
its worth getting a quote from him, just sending him a mail asking what you want..
Cheers

Hi All! I just thought I would thank you all for your help, I contacted the design ethics guy and he sent me one out straight away and the bike is now running sweet as a nut , infact, it is running a lot better than it ever has, I took it out for a spin and reached over 65mph on the flat! I couldn't believe my eyeballs when I saw the speedo Just out of curiosity, what's everyones top speed on their bikes, I know there prolly won't be anybody with the BT125-T9 out there but what about the other 125 scoots out there? Thanks again everybody! Oh, I have just bought myself a little cruiser to pass my test with, it's a Honda CM125 - I got it really cheap off ebay - only cost £300! ;D
