My scooter will be in the shed. Our lowest temperatures are usually around -2 so not much to worry about.

Mines already tucked away in the garage. Battery died the other day so i decided it was about time to put it away for the winter.

Mine is kept in the garden shed as well. End of January and most of February are the bad weeks up here so don't get much scootering done then, just not worth the risk.
If your keeping your bike in a garage with a power point why not buy one of those trickle chargers which automatically monitor and top up the battery as required.

I would put a fuel stabilizer and leave a full tank of gas. The inside of the tank could get rusty, and this seems to be a common problem with bikes. Is the basement damp?
The best thing is too start it up and ride it occasionally if you get a chance, it keeps things fresh.

Hey Chcknugget, My basement is dry and warm Im just worried about the fumes thats why I want to drain the gas dmio To get rid of the fumes I take a loose plastic bag and close the gas cap on top of it. These gas caps are ventilated, so if they are not blocked off, fumes will come out.

i will pop my one in the back off my office area, its massive, could park 6 cars in there, wont be for to long as winter is a short issue here, but dont think we dont get bad winters, when its cold its real cold, and when it snows, it snows!
it will most prob get started up every 3 days or so just to keep it happy!
