Hey all, having trouble deretriscting my g/f's tasihan 50cc commuter, have took cover off the carb and removed the thick black washer (its like 2 or 3cm thick) but bike kept flooding. The taishan has a solid needle so couldnt adjust the needle any. I read about removing the screw in the cap but if it wont run with no washer no screw aint gunna help, it will just keep letting petrol in......and flood. Will look at airlines tommorow but cant do to much as her dad would kick my butt! So. to sum up removing the big black washer under the black cap on carb makes it too rich, had to put it back. Am i removing the right washer? where is the fuel mixture screw on these chinese bikes and which way do i turn it to make it richer or leaner? Any help is greatly appreciated and also the CDI seems to be a grey area for taishans anyone found the actuall limiter wire yet cheers

The black washer (diaphram) is supposed to be replaced AFTER you have removed the scew on the underside of the cap.
The pink wire isn't on the Taishan's, it is restricted by a slip ring in the variator. The derestriction guide details removing this.
