There doesn't seem to be any way of knowing what to expect when registering. Three months ago I got my registration documents within 20 minutes at Nottingham, but someone else has just registered a scooter there, and reported they had to wait 72 hours before they could collect the documents.

I have a feeling it could be the time of year that i have to wait 72 hours. Maybe its when new cars are being released and need registering.
I could be wrong tho.

DVLA in Birmingham do not give you the Reg No there and then as they send all the doc to Swansea and it takes three to five days working days to get them back. Depending on whether you collect or have it posted back to you.
