Hello, This was the secret project that I've been working on. It's a brsnd new 19mm keihin carb mounted to a manifold I found in a motorcycle junkyard that just happened to fit. Its got a manual choke, so I just have to flip a lever to choke it. I had to drill the manifold out to operate the vacuum operated petcock. I made a custom throttle cable to fit into the carb. It is also fitted with a freeflow filter. The scoot is faster! It accelerates up to 40mph easier. I think it is still limited in gearing by the long sleeve in the variator. It is a little louder, but it doesn't sound that bad. It is definitely better, I wouldn't ever change back. The only hard part is starting it because I don't have the autochoke anymore. Here are the stock specs: I measured the original carb at 17mm at the throat, 18.5mm at the output. The original manifold measures in at 16.6mm to the head. The intake port on the head measures 18mm. The new carb is 19mm at the throat and output. The new manifold is 19mm all the way through. I think I'm going to bore out the head for more flow next. O yeah, I washed my exhaust and it turned copper!

I think it's the same size that the Honda CT series use. It came from an old trail bike engine!
I had bought a manifold for a honda xr50 off ebay, but there was too much bend in it and the allignment of the carb would interfere with the chain tensioner on the engine.

It appears that there is a layer of copper underneath the layer of chrome on my exhaust. I was at one of those high powered car washes and it blasted the chrome right off!
